KWKH AM 1130 The Home of the Legends gears up to
celebrate National Agricultural Week March 16 through March
22, 2008.
It is important that we all remember whatever might be on the
dinner table – fried chicken, mashed potatoes, crisp green
salad, fresh veggies, apple pie a la mode…chances are
it’s the product of American agriculture.
Agriculture is more than farming and ranching – growing
crops, raising livestock, tending the orchard or vineyard. It’s
also manufacturing, transportation, marketing, wholesaling and
retailing.
The Barney Cannon’s KWKH Great Tractor Ride is scheduled
for April 25th through 27th, 2008. Tractor riders, friends,
family, and enthusiasts will travel the back roads of various
parishes (route to be announced at kick-off party) for a two
day ride traveling over 110 miles to celebrate fellowship and
the spirit of our rich agricultural heritage.
GAP Broadcasting will be approaching towns, city leaders, and
organizations in each community with ways that they can be involved
in our ride that will help them economically as well as entertain
them along the route.
